There are a lot of different things you have to be good at, and it takes a lot time, practice and talent.

Pomplamoose – Home Recording Success Story

This is some cool stuff, and I thought it might be a little inspiring for you. I know that it is for me.

Pomplamoose records music at home, makes videos of it for YouTube, and shuns record labels. The cool thing is they are making a living with their music. You may have seen them in recent Hyundai Christmas commercials.

YouTube Musicians Wanted Program

Youtube recently announced at South-by-Southwest a new partner program called Musicians Wanted. Basically, they want independent artists to post video content and the artists will get a share in the revenue.

I just heard about this in a email newsletter from Electronic Musician. You can sign up for the newsletter here, if you want to. It’s at the bottom of the page – don’t worry, you don’t have to subscribe to the magazine.
